The Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS) held a public hearing for comment on the federal Child Care Development Fund (CCDF) State Plan for FFY 2014-2015 on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 in Bloomington, IL.  You may view the webinar here.  A draft copy of the Illinois CCDF State Plan is also available on the IDHS web site. 

Changes to the Quality Counts Quality Rating System for centers are coming soon! This is an exciting time for Illinois children and families! Illinois was one of only 13 states to win the federal Race to the Top- Early Learning Challenge grant. Illinois will receive $34.8 million over the next 4 years. Part of this grant opportunity calls for Illinois to create a Quality Rating & Improvement System (QRIS) inclusive of all early learning and development programs.
