The Child Care Nutrition Resource System provides child care providers with recipes, resources and information on preparing nutritious meals and food safety. Day care providers that participate in USDA's Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) and receive reimbursements for meals served will find the information useful.

KidsHealth, sponsored by the Nemours Foundation, is a fun fact-filled site that has sections for kids, teens and adults. Nutrition and Fitness is just one of the many topics addressed in the parents websiteKids have their own section with areas that address staying healthy and recipes that they can create on their own. 

Powerful Bones. Powerful Girls.
Powerful girls have powerful bones! This girl-friendly Web site helps girls understand how weight-bearing physical activity and calcium can be a fun (and important!) part of everyday life. The site is part of the National Bone Health Campaign, founded by the Office on Women's Health within the Department of Health, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the National Osteoporosis Foundation. The site's key features include interactive games and quizzes, recipes for tasty foods with calcium, and ideas to help girls get plenty of weight-bearing physical activity.

Parenting 24-7 a site developed by the University of Illinois for "raising children and managing family life." The site is divided by age groups and features topics pertinent to each group. Beyond the healthy eating habits for Infants and Preschoolers, Parenting 24-7 addresses a wide range of topics for children and parents alike. 

The American Academy of Pediatrics discusses the issues of obesity in children.
